Yay! Finally got iPhone tethering to work on my Mac, this is how:
Bluetooth
- Turn Bluetooth on on both your iPhone and Mac
- iPhone: Settings->General->Bluetooth, now wait
- Mac: Bluetooth menu->Set up Bluetooth device, select “Use device as a network port”
- iPhone: Settings->General->Network->Internet Tethering, turn tethering on
- Mac: Bluetooth menu->[Your iPhone]->Connect to Network
- Success!
USB
- Plug in cable
- A new Ethernet adapter is automatically created
- Configure the new interface -> Network Preferences opens
- Click “Apply”
- All set!
